The Government has published its latest Welfare Reform Bill. Rethink wants to make sure that people experiencing mental illness get a fair deal from this legislation.

The Rethink Campaigns team is meeting politicians to discuss Welfare Reform and the specific needs of people affected by mental illness. The more we can tell them about people's real experiences of the benefits system, the stronger our case.

  • The need for mental health awareness training for Job Centre Staff and Personal Advisers
  • The support programmes offered to people
  • Tackling employer discrimination towards people with mental illness
  • Work Capacity Assements
