Phil Lancaster
Phil Lancaster has spent about seventeen and a half years in various secure psychiatric units and is currently an outpatient at his local clinic diagnosed as having paranoid schizophrenia.
He says “throughout my illness I have always practised art in some form or other, I find it a good way to 'focus my mind' on something constructive. I have been learning digital art using a computer for about 10 years now and you can see samples of this in the Perceptions magazine that I often produce work for.”
Robert Haworth
"I am thirty years of age and a self-taught, professional artist. I feel that I am a born artist as it’s the one thing that makes me feel happy. Whilst painting I feel calm and relaxed and can escape to another, more exciting world in my mind and heart. I would love to become a leading figure in the world of art in my own definitive style and to create a buzz in the world of art so that people experience artwork that is completely different and radical.
