  • Dignity & Respect:  Rethink believes that people affected by severe mental illness have a right to be treated with dignity and respect, with equal opportunities in
    everyday life.
  • Recovery: Rethink believes that by working together we can create a culture of hope, support and recovery that embodies a belief in people’s own ability to manage, change and improve the quality of their lives.
  • Diversity and Equality: Rethink will strive to create communities free from stigma and discrimination where diversity is recognised and respected. We believe that people affected by severe mental illness should be
    accepted as equal citizens.
  • Support for All: Rethink believes that carers, families and friends play an invaluable role in helping individuals survive and recover from severe mental illness and their role should be acknowledged, valued and supported.
