Important Fundraising Information

Gift Aid
If you are a UK Taxpayer, Gift Aid can increase the value of your donaition. The Inland Revenue treat donations to Rethink as if the donor has already had tax dedcucted at the basic rate. We can then claim this tax to increase the value of the donation. You must be a UK taxpayer for us to be able to claim and complete a Gift Aid declaration.

If you have already made a donation to Rethink and are unsure if you have completed a declaration, please contact us to request th eform. We can backdate the claims for four years, so it is always worth signing the declaration saying you are a UK taxpayer.

Collections
Please contact us if you want to collect money for Rethink. There are strict guidelines to collecting in public, including having to get a permit from the local authority or the police. You will also have to get a certificate and follow our guidelines to hold a private collection as well.

FRSB
The FRSB works to ensure that organisations raising money from the public do so honestly and properly and adhere to the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Fundraising Practice.

Rethink is one of many large charities who have joined the FRSB and we are proud to be a member. To find out more about what this means to you, visit the Fundraising Standards Board's website for the public.

Rethink are keen to ensure any complaints are promptly and fairly handled. For further details please read the Rethink Complaints procedure (810 kb)  or the procedure specifically relating to fundraising which is the Complaints Policy & Procedure for Fundraising (57 kb)
