Delivering Joined-up care
19 May 2011
: Manchester Conference Centre
About the event
A UK study found that nine out of ten people when receiving secondary health care were also using social care services. However there is often duplication, inefficiency and waste that can create a poor experience, therefore it is vital that these services work closely together. By joining services together, it ensures that patients with complex care needs have a high quality of care as well as eliminating any waste and consequently making the services more cost effective. Chaired by Lynne Maher Director of Design and Innovation NHS Institute and Innovation and Improvement, this one day conference looks at how to deliver an effective Joined-up care service.
