Nina Dean was a beautiful model and photographer who was affected by severe mental illness for most of her life. Throughout her life Nina was always enticed by art and especially photography.
Whatever was going on in Nina’s life, no matter how low her mental health problems took her, she continued to take her photographs and the significance of her art never waned. It is Nina’s great achievement that, in spite of her illness, she still managed to take photographs and study her craft.
It gives her family and friends great comfort to think that whatever her illness did to her mind, somewhere in her heart and mind she still saw the beauty that life has to offer. Fortunately, she captured this through her camera lens and has left us with an extensive catalogue of beautiful and stunning images.
