In memory of: Josephine Bruegel
7 November 1914 – 18 June 2005
She was an outsider who made her way in Britain as a doctor and a befriender. She sought to build fellowship amongst those with schizophrenia and their carers in North London.

She was active, resilient, caring and interested in people and ideas right up to the end, despite the tragedies she herself had endured.
Her dearest wish was that the causes of schizophrenia be better researched and understood.
