Sarah
10th May 1985 - 14th September 2011
Sarah was a lovely girl, kind and considerate, quiet but
very determined. She loved the countryside and when she was walking in
beautiful places she was at her happiest. The photograph of her was taken when
she walked the Pennine Way two years ago. She loved every minute, even the rain
and the wind.
Sarah was a talented mathematician, but was also gifted
creatively. After completing her degree in mathematics at Oxford University she
set up iSquared Magazine, aimed at anyone with an interest in mathematics which
included news, interviews, featured articles and even puzzles. She commissioned
all the articles, wrote many of the regular features, sourced the photographs
and designed and directed it herself. Her magazines were a work of art and
demonstrated her enormous talent for writing and designing. She excelled at
everything she did; she was a wonderful pianist, a skilful artist and accomplished
photographer.
Sarah was loved by all her family, her many friends and
her dog Maisie. We never ceased to be amazed by how much she achieved but despite
all this she had a great inner sadness which she could not endure. She is at
peace now but will never be forgotten by all who loved her.
As a family this tribute fund allows us to try and help
others in Sarah’s memory. Sarah just wanted to be happy, and if this fund helps
other people achieve this then that is all we can ask for.
