Paul Bedford's Fund

Paul was a very private person who wouldn't have wanted his tragic story retold publicly, so you won't find the detail of it here. Born in Watford, he enjoyed a normal childhood with his parents and older brother, did well at school, and was a keen  Arsenal supporter. He achieved a 2.1 in History at Leicester University in 2008 despite (as we now know) the onset of paranoid schizophrenia, and he hoped to become a teacher. However his life was increasingly affected by what we term delusions, but for him were reality. As Paul did not agree he was ill he also did not accept that he could be helped, and in the end could not see any solution except suicide.

Throughout his short life Paul was an extremely loving and caring person and has left his family with many happy memories. Please also remember him and donate to help others like him who suffer from this very distressing illness.
