What do we raise money for?
Rethink provides a wide range of services ranging from supported housing, helplines, community day services, educational services, employment, advocacy, BME services, young people services and criminal justice. Most of our services are awarded by local authorities, Primary Care Trusts and others on the basis of competitive tendering.
However, Rethink has a separate Directorate with separate governance arrangements which provides Public Affairs activities. These activities include advice, information, research, mental health promotion, national and local membership support, media and campaigns programmes, and they rely on voluntary raised income. For instance, Rethink’s National Information and Advice Service relies entirely on charitable donations and grants.
