About our new look

Rethink Mental Illness LogoIn September 2011 we changed our look. Why?

There are over 3 million people in this country affected by mental illness - people who urgently need support and information, hope and understanding. We are here for everyone with mental illness, as well as family, carers and friends. But people have told us it sometimes takes years to find us. Years of feeling isolated, confused and frustrated. That simply must change.

Challenging attitudes, changing lives

We want everyone to be able to find us in GP practices, mental health units, in the newspaper, on the computer - and make it much easier for everyone to get the help, hope, support and information that's needed. So we’ve looked in great detail at how we can be more recognisable for what we do, and what we stand for.

Now we are Rethink Mental Illness – the name makes it very clear what we do and who we are for. We also have the strap-line ‘Challenging Attitudes, Changing Lives’ – it sums us up nicely. And we have a brand new look – it’s bold, friendly and positive, just like our approach to mental illness.

Many things haven’t changed. Our mission is as clear as ever. And if you want to find out more about why we’ve changed our look, read these Frequently Asked Questions about our new look.

Facebook LogoDo you use Facebook? If so we need you now more than ever!

We want supporters to join us on Facebook and tell family and friends about us - especially if they've never heard of us before, but even if they have, now's the time to give them a little reminder!
