  • Rethink Sahayak is made up of a cluster of services for the South Asian community in West Kent. 
  • An Information and Support service, an Asian language mental health telephone helpline and a BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Carers support service.
  • These services have been at the cutting edge of mental health service provision for ethnic minorities in West Kent for over 10 years.  Recently the service has had an extension to provide BME Floating Support, the service is delivered in a culturally and sensitive way.
  • Working within our BME Floating Support Service, you will help people using the service to achieve their personal development plans, as well as signposting them to a range of social, recreational and educational activities.
  • The ability to build good working relationships with a wide variety of people is essential – and you’ll also need sound organisational and IT skills. You must be able to speak an Asian language.
  •   You will contribute to ensuring Rethink services are accessible and relevant to the needs of users and community groups from minority and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Section 5(2)(d) of the Race Discrimination Act 1976 and 7(2)(e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 applies.
