Hello - my name is Pyp and I'm 22. I have many diagnoses - but I am pretty much at the start of the path.

The diagnoses the doctors have given me are:

PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Borderline Personality Disorder
EDNOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified)
Social anxiety

However the main problem I have is that I am voice hearer, and have been for five years now. There are ten constant voices in my head all day every day, they get louder and more demanding as time goes on, eventually I have to "reset" them.

With this blog I hope to help people who are going through the voice hearing experience, but also to any member of the public that still thinks that voice hearers are axe-wielding maniacs!

In terms of recovery I have a CPN and a psychiatrist behind me, I also attend a fortnightly hearing voices group and am starting a journey into the scary world of therapy.

Hello, I have not dropped off the Earth just caught in the swirling vortex of illness.
It is strange that I feel like things have been so hectic and non-stop but I sit down and think about it I seem to have been doing nothing...How strange?

For those that are keeping up with my blog, you may have read about all of the frustrations that have cropped up recently, some of them are getting sorted, but some of them are well, shall we say ongoing. The flat is still falling to bits, but there is not a lot we can do about that. A computer was given to us by my girlfriend’s mum, so that is at least sorted out. The computer is my ultimate distraction method and as I have social anxiety, it is my lifeline really.

Frustration...

I have had a lot of problems with stress of late and my mood has plummeted. One reason for this is that I feel that the person that was assessing me for therapy is not telling me the whole truth. However there are other factors that contributed to my extreme feelings as well.

All of a sudden the amount of people I see in the mental health system has increased a lot. My CPN has increased the frequency with which I see him, I am having to have an assessment for therapy, and I am also due to see my psychiatrist soon as my CPN thinks that some sleeping tablets would do some good - he thinks that the therapy would be useless if I was too tired to go through with it.
