Jane Harris is Associate Director of Communications at Rethink Mental Illness

 

Jane oversees communications and marketing, policy and campaigning work for the organisation. Rethink Mental Illness supports thousands of people every year towards better mental health through information, membership, campaigning and services from housing to psychological therapies.  Jane previously worked in a campaigning role at Rethink, representing the organisation on advisory panels at DH and DWP and as a teacher in Japan.  Jane has a degree in Philosophy and Modern Languages and the NCVO Certificate in Campaigning and is studying towards a CIPR Diploma.

Welfare Bill - Government must now stop and listen

Last night's triple defeat in the Lords was undoubtedly a shock for many. It should have showed the Government the strength of feeling against some measures in the Welfare Reform Bill. Employment Minister Chris Grayling didn't show any signs of this this morning, however, telling the Today programme that these reforms are what the British people want.
