British Association of Psychotherapists
A registered charity that provides national cover, but has an emphasis on London and the south-east. The charity aims to provide a prompt clinical assessment and referral system for adults, children and adolescents who require psychotherapy. A reduced-fee scheme offers psychotherapy at a considerably lower cost to patients who are able to commit themselves to sessions three times a week for a minimum of two years, and who are assessed as suitable to be treated by psychotherapists in training under supervision. National Service Framework for Mental Health
National Service Frameworks sets national standards and defines service models for a specific service or care group. The Royal College of Psychiatrists is the professional and education body for all psychiatrists in the UK and Republic of Ireland. It sets standards of training for psychiatry and holds exams for those wishing to enter the profession. Society of Analytical Psychology
The society is a registered charity. Functions include the provision of reduced-fee analysis to members of the public through the work of the CG Jung Clinic and a consultation service is available for people who want to explore whether psychotherapy or analysis can help them.
