Get involved by writing your own blog
About Rethink's blog area
Rethink launched its blogs section in Autumn 2007 visit: http://www.rethink.org/blogs.
What is a blog?
A blog, short for web log, is a place for an author to write about their experiences or views and can be used as a diary format or a place to present ideas and thoughts. Any visitor to the website can post their comments and views, which are checked by Rethink before they are posted underneath a blog entry.
You can view the list of authors by clicking on the option in the right hand column. Each author has a profile explaining who they are and what perspective their blog is written from. You can search blog entries by topic by clicking on the drop down list in the right hand column. For example, if you chose “siblings”, all blogs entries relating to this topic will appear.
Blog entries could be about a variety of topics, for example
- applying for jobs,
- stigma and discrimination or
- medication and treatments.
Blog entries will be moderated and possibly edited, with the author’s agreement, before being posted onto the Rethink website.
