Guidelines for commenting on Rethink blogs entries
Welcome to Rethink's blog area. We have established these guidelines to help users post comments and allow you to get the most out of the blogs. The comments area of the blog is where you can choose to comment on a particular blog entry. Your comment may have various purposes for example: to share your own experiences, to offer tips or support to readers or the blog writer and to raise any points or issues relating to the blog entry.
When posting a comment please:
- keep your comments polite and relevant
- maintain respect for other people
- Please keep your blog comment short and to the point aim for not more than 300 words if possible.
- post your comment under the relevant blog you wish to comment on
and please don’t:
- use obscenity or insults
- 'flame' or attack people individually
- post your comments twice under different blogs
- publish email addresses or phone numbers in posts
- post comments advertising commercial products or services: these will be deleted
- Use your real full name if you wish to remain anonymous. (Please note your name could appear in search engines if searched for)
Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, explicit, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive, or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable and will be removed.
Rethink's blog comments area is there for commenting and sharing your experiences. Opinions expressed in the comments are users' own Rethink, and are in no way a substitute for medical advice.
Will Rethink publish all blog comments?
Comments will be posted when they contribute by adding information, opinions, support and ideas. Negative or contrary opinions are welcome as long as they don’t violate the common rules described above. Rethink cannot guarantee that your comment will appear under a blog entry.
Copyright and editing
Information copyrighted or owned by any individual or organisation other than the member should not be posted as a blog comment without the consent of the owner. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights. If such an event occurs, the individual posting the information shall be held solely responsible. Rethink shall not be held responsible for comment-posted information that may violate copyright law.
Rethink reserves the right to edit or remove a comment which does not meet with the criteria outlined above.
Rethink will not publish or provide your email address to anyone. We reserve the right to quote from your blog comment in Rethink publications, appeals, press releases and other material. However, we promise to be sensitive in this effort. We will not republish anything you write that we think could be deemed personally endangering, inflammatory or embarrassing to you and we won’t use your name without your consent.
